Curious about the organ? Want to improve your organ technique? Learn more at Organ Day Camp. Students will:
- listen to a presentation from special guest Dr. Andrew Unsworth, Tabernacle Organist
- crawl through the Libby Gardner Concert Hall organ
- built a functional miniature pipe organ
- receive coaching from Dr. Kenneth Udy, University of Utah Organ Area Head
- play the other organs on campus including the Flentrop studio organ
- perform a recital in Libby Gardner Concert Hall
Open to intermediate-advanced keyboard students ages 11-18. Previous organ experience is not required. No audition is required.
Attendees should prepare a short piece (no longer than five minutes) that they will perform in a recital setting at the end of camp. Each student will receive coaching prior to the performance. Contact Dr. Kenneth Udy, kenneth.udy@utah.edu for questions regarding piece selection or for suggestions.
